Since 2009, the course has been taught by Boguchwała Tuszyńska, who in 2016 defended her PhD thesis entitled „The position of women in the Maya world in the Classic Period (250 – 900 AD)” at Adam Mickiewicz University.
Dr Tuszyńska actively participates in scientific conferences and publishes in foreign scientific journals; her articles, highly acclaimed by readers, have been published – among others – in „Archeologia Żywa” (popular archaeology magazine). She has visited about 100 archaeological sites in Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras and El Salvador.
